Connie Elaine Eickhoff entered this world to loving parents Henry Bell and William Gladys (Strickler) Hinch on December 30, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Connie entered eternal rest on February 10, 2023.
Connie graduated high school in 1966 and married David Eickhoff in August later that year. After they got married the couple lived in Del City, Oklahoma and then in 1972 moved to Farmers Branch, Texas. Following that, they moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1974. They then adopted their daughter, Melissa Jean Eickhoff in July of 1978. In 1979, Connie and David divorced and Connie and Melissa moved to Yukon, Oklahoma to be closer to family.
In 1980, Connie started employment at Southwestern Stationery and Bank Supply and was there in various job positions, including Office Manager until her retirement in December 2014. Connie enjoyed working there where she made many friends who became like family over the years.
Connie’s favorite music was Country but she also loved the Classics like Conway Twitty, Alabama and many other artists. Her favorite color was yellow, a color strongly associated with happiness and positivity, which describe Connie perfectly. She taught her family to treat others as you would want to be treated, how to be independent and strong, how to embrace every moment, as life is way too short and to always keep laughing. Melissa’s biggest life lesson learned from her mother was how to love unconditionally from the example of love she was always shown.
Connie will be remembered as a loving mother and Mimi to her daughter, grandkids, and great-grandson. She had a great sense of humor and everyone loved to be around her, her laughter and energy always filled the room. Connie always put family first, constantly showing love and appreciation to her daughter and grandkids. She loved watching football and cooking, she made the best meatloaf!
Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Dean Hinch, sister, Carol Lanman and brother-in-law, Harvey and granddaughter Chloe Crawford who passed away December 2021 at the young age of 18.
Connie’s legacy will continue to be remembered and cherished by her daughter Melissa Eickhoff Crawford of Yukon, Oklahoma, sister-in-law, Mavis Hinch of Chickasha, Oklahoma, granddaughter Calleigh Harris and spouse Ryan Harris, grandson Colby Crawford, and great-grandson Ryleigh Harris.
