Betty Miller

Betty Jo Miller, 88 of Bethany, OK passed away peacefully on March 28, 2016. She was born on January 31, 1928 in Oklahoma City, OK. Her wonderful organizational skills and the caring of other employees meant she was soon promoted as one of the first female supervisors at Western Electric and later retired from Lucent after 30 years. She made sure the hardship she endured as a hearing impaired person did not interfere with her providing a wonderful life for her two children. Betty was a simple person and her love for family, books, and nature will forever remain instilled in the hearts and minds of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Wells and husband Don of Yukon, OK; son Jim Miller of Oklahoma City, OK; grandson Nick Miller of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughter, Dr. Jennifer Myers, and husband Chase of Oklahoma City, OK; great-grandson Isaiah Myers and great-granddaughter Lorelei Myers of Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral arrangements have been made by Guardian West Funeral Home of Warr Acres. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Prairie Winds assisted living and Faith Hospice who provided loving kindness and support.
