Barbara Ann Newman

Barbara Ann Newman, passed away from this life on February 24, 2017. Barbara was born on August 30, 1939 in Chickasha, OK to Everett and Johnnie Beatrice (Pecktol) Gosnell. Barbara was a kind, loving, and caring person who was always helping others. Anyone who ever stepped foot in her home, never left hungry! She never followed a recipe. It was always “a little of this and a little of that”. Barbara and her husband, UL, were members of both Cornerstone Church and Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City. While attending church, she would sing in the choir and taught Sunday School. They also owned a house at Lake Eufaula where she and her family would enjoy spending time together. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and husband UL Newman. Survivors include her children, Rodney Eugene Newman and wife Patricia, and Dennis Ray Newman; grandson, Matthew Rodney Newman and wife Rebekah; great-grandchildren, Kale Newman, Hannah Duckworth, and Madelyn Duckworth; and numerous other friends and family who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
