Anna Christine Reid

Anna Christine Reid, 93 year-old resident of Dale, OK, passed away on September 28, 2016 in McLoud, OK. Born March 6, 1923 in Nashville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Leonard Fulton Sullivan and Willie Lee Stone Sullivan. Anna was a great cook, grew a big garden, crocheted, Loved to go to the Lake with Family, and especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren. During the war she was a proud “Rosie the Riveter” and was known for her sense of humor and wit. She married Loren Francis Reid in Oct. of 1945 and they were married for over 49 years until his passing. Survivors include 1 son, Ted Alan Reid of Tulsa, OK; 1 daughter, Barbara Kirkes of Dale, OK; 5 grandchildren, Grady Kirkes; Vince and his wife, Tara Kirkes; Blaine Walker; Justin Walker; and Jordan Reid; 2 great-grandchildren, Reid and Noah Kirkes; 2 brothers, Darrell and his wife Madonna Sullivan of Del City, OK; Leonard Earl and his wife Marilyn Sullivan of OKC, OK; 1 sister, Leta Mae Moore of Shawnee, OK; 1 sister-in-law, Pat Hales of Niagra Falls, NY’ and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at the Dale Church of Christ with burial to follow at Dale Cemetery in Dale, OK.
