Ann, affectionately known as "Lou", was born in Savoy, Texas to parents Arthur and Flora Hicks. She was their second daughter. Her father worked as a famer and eventually moved the family to Crescent, Oklahoma to work for the railroad. It was here that she spent most of her young life and graduated from Crescent High School in 1950.
Louise was proud that she had mastered the typewriter at an early age. She graduated from Draughn School of Business after high school. Lou took those skills she learned at Draughn and in 1959, she began her career at Tinker Air Force Base. She had the distinction of providing secretarial services to the Base Commanders.
Louise met Roy "Jack" Coppock, her life companion. They were married on November 18, 1960. They resided in Midwest City, Oklahoma all their lives. In 1978, Louise retired from Tinker AFB. She and her husband Jack spent most of their retirement at Lake Eufaula (Brooken Cove) or their Midwest City residence.
Louise and Jack were also members of the Southwest Baptist Church in south Oklahoma City. She was very active in the Church's Bible College and provided mentoring and support for many students. Lou truly loved the students and the students truly loved her.
Lou was a kind soul that never had an enemy. She loved to experiment cook, play cards and dance. She was very organized and upbeat about life and what it had to offer.
