Phil was born in Syracuse NY on November 5th, 1952 to parents Durwood (Dusty) & Shirley Thomson. He attended Henninger High School and was an avid baseball player in his youth. Phil also attended the nursing program at Central Tech. in Syracuse NY. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1970, stationed to the USS Canisteo. He continued to serve his country proudly until his honorable discharge in 1972. Phil then proceeded to jump on a Harley Davidson and never looked back! He was first and foremost, above all, a biker. Anyone that really knew him could attest to that! Phil loved to ride, motorcycles were his passion! And he loved the comradery and “gypsy lifestyle” that comes along with it. He always told anyone who'd listen, “Rode my harley in 32 states”. Over the years, besides NY, he lived in Florida, Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas. and Michigan. Phil met his wife Kim in 2006 and continued the ride. They were married in Tombstone Arizona, April 1st, 2017. Phil also found joy in his work, he loved to help people in need. He worked most of his life as a Mental Health Tech. And he was a darn good one too! He also taught a Crisis Intervention class at Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg NY, where he retired from in 2012. Phil always said what a full life he lived.
