Patricia A. Conklin

Mrs. Patricia A. Conklin, age 88 of Heuvelton, NY passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the United Helpers Nursing Home in Ogdensburg, NY where she had resided since Sept. 10, 2010. A memorial service will be held on September 2nd at 1pm at the Fox-Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Laurena Will officiating.

Mrs. Conklin was born on March 25, 1928 in Cortland, NY to the late Leon and Marion (Orton) Rose. She was a graduate of Cortland High School and Utica College of Syracuse University. On September 20, 1947 she married Guy D. Conklin at the Episcopal Church in Wellsburg, NY. He died on January 9, 1999. She worked as a private secretary for Mr. Hewlett Strong in Ogdensburg and also at Bill Skelly Plumbing and Heating in Ogdensburg for several years. She then worked at the Southworth Library at Canton ATC from which she retired after more than thirty years of service. Her greatest love was music, all things Cape Cod related, reading and traveling to and throughout New England.

She is survived by her son, John (Chris) Conklin of Bellingham, MA; her daughter, Jana Norris of Ogdensburg, NY; her sister, Connie (Mike) Sopp of Cortland, NY; her former son-in-law, Bill (Shirley) Dashnaw of Lisbon, NY; her grandsons Mike (Arlene) Dashnaw of Glenview, IL; Rick Dashnaw of Jacksonville, FL; Jason Conklin of Bellingham, MA; and Sam (Laurie) Conklin of Blackstone, MA. as well as six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, her sister, Marjorie Ripley of McGraw, NY; and her son-in-law Edward A. Norris of Ogdensburg, NY.
