I worked at Canton-Potsdam Hospital and was fortunate to have known Karen.  She was always a ray of sunshine with her smile and laughter.  I am deeply saddened at your loss.  

We were saddened to learn of Karen's passing . She was a great across the lane  neighbor . We were colleagues for some rime when she worked at SUNY  Canton , while we were building the new  campus ,. Great lady , always enjoyed her smile each day when i d see her at the college . 

Later we became neighbors and we both would  see Karen on her walks and always engaged her about our mutual admiration for our feline friends .

RIP Karen , you will be missed

So Sorry to read of Karen's passing.  She and I grew up together and played together on Elizabeth Street.  I also have fond memories of her Mom Millie and the great birthday parties that she had for Karen.  As we both reached high school, we sort of drifted apart because she was  at OFA and I was at SMA but we had many happy adventures in our younger days.  What a great girl!     Holly Short Jankowski

Thinking of the family and extending our sincere sympathy and prayers

Karen was my secretary and friend at CPH for 20 years, and remained friends with Michele and I after.  I remember the Colonel cornering me at the bowling alley when Karen had just returned from Florida and told me about Karen.  Two days later she was my coworker.  Michele and I both loved her and will miss her.

Thoughts and prayers for Karen's family...she was a great neighbor growing up on Elizabeth Street.  God bless....

I remember what a great neighbor and friend Karen was. The Durr household was a great place to go. Many fun times there. The Durr's always made you feel like part of the family when you where at there home.  Karen's Mom, Dad and Brothers where like family when I was youngster. May Karen rest in peace. She was an angel for sure. 

She was always so giving, kind, laid back, and had a contagious laugh. So many good memories made on The River hanging out on the beach. My college buddies would come up over the summer and say "you have the coolest Aunt ever!" She will be greatly missed, and always remembered... all I have to do is look at The River to be reminded of her.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Karen, our long time neighbor and friend.
Her parents became our neighbors when we moved to our present home 70 years ago. We saw all their children grow up and all became our friends.We want to extend our sympathy and condolences to the Durr and Wight families. God Bless you all. 

I was very sad this morning to read of Karen's passing. We work together at CPH for a number of years and it seemed like I was always asking her for something or other in her capacity. She never failed to have a smile and a kind word for me and never failed to help me. I often wished that I could repay her just plain "niceness" and hope by my manner that I somehow did. May the Lord have mercy on her and the Comforter be with all who loved her.

No one could not remember something special about Karen that set her apart from the rest of us. I remember the high school days and the parties at the camp.  I remember how confident Karen was in the Turmoils and Tragedies of those years as well.  She was one to deal with when you screwed up.  However, Karen was always fair.  As usual, we lost touch as we aged and that makes me miss her more.   do know  that she is watching over the rest of us.  She was a special person.     

With my deepest condolences, I express to the Wight family how sorry I am to hear about Karen. In such difficult moments of loss, I know that God can extend his loving arms to support you all. I hope he continues to give you strength in this time. (Revelation 21:4)

I did not know Karen well;  my daughter Jennifer is married to Karen’s nephew Kevin, I live in Liverpool and she, of course, in Ogdensburg. What I do remember is her devotion to her family, especially her brother Jim, Kevin’s Dad...and her love of the river. Such a warm, caring soul...wish I could have known her better. Rest In Peace, Karen!❤️
