Alverta was born August 9, 1942 in Carthage, NY to the late Andrew and Aretta (Price) Dobransky. Alverta took a lot of pride in being a wonderful mother, grandmother and Nana. She was a kind, caring and loving person. She always had a kind word to say to people and loved to socialize and talk to everyone, especially about her family. If you saw her she was always dressed impeccably not a hair out of place.
Alverta worked in the summers around the Alex Bay area as a waitress and cashier in gift shops. She had a love of collecting Beanie Babies and Fenton Art Glass. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, she started getting the house decorated in October for the Christmas season. She enjoyed shopping, her flowers and going out to dinner.
Mrs. Paddock is survived by her two daughters, Lolita Stowe and her husband David of Hammond and Sharon Sourwine and her husband Dan of Alex Bay; four grandchildren, Rhys Milsap and his wife Kristin of Hammond, Keith Sourwine and his wife Heather of Irondequiot, Ashley Arquitt and her husband John of Hammond, and Kyleigh Stowe and her companion Sal of Hammond; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Hudson Arquitt and Kayla and Mia Dellapenna; Emerson and Brynn Sourwine, and Grace Milsap; her special companion, David Hughto of Alex Bay; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Aretta Dobransky; a sister Mary Thomas, 2 brothers Andy and Charlie Dobransky and her husband, Robert C. Paddock (2010).
Memorial contributions may be made in Alverta’s name to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research.
