Refugio Jimenez

He married Sylvia Valenzuela Jimenez and worked for TxDOT for 39 years before he retired. He enjoyed horse races, BINGO, and gardening.

Refugio is survived by his sons, Jose Luis Jimenez and wife Marta, Juan Refugio Jimenez and wife Vaudelia, and Anthony Alonso Jimenez and wife Josie, all of Odessa; daughters, Angie Jimenez Abila of Odessa and Emelda Jimenez Antuna and husband Jesus of Katy; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis & Rita Jimenez and brother, Luis Jimenez.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 10 AM – 9 PM at Odessa Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church followed by interment at the Los Angeles section of Ector County Cemetery. Fermin Ramirez, Rogelio Sosa, Adrian Abila, Lupita Jimenez, Ana Jimenez, Juan Refugio Jimenez, Jr., Ashley Jimenez, and Luis Navarette will serve as pallbearers.
