Patricia Hill

On Saturday, May 6, 2023, Patricia Hill, our loving mother and Meme was escorted into Heaven to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 85. Patsy was born May 31, 1937, to Kenneth Clay and Ella Marcelle Wallender in Crane, Texas. Growing up, she had fond memories of living in Missouri, New Mexico, and Texas. She graduated from Crane High School in 1956. Throughout her life, she was blessed with a cousin that was more like a sister, Shirley Wallender Morrison. Patsy, her brother David, and Shirley had many adventures and made many fond memories throughout their lifetime.

Patsy dedicated her life to making a beautiful home for her family. Her dearest friend of over 60 years, Fern Stark, said she “was as close to June Cleaver as you could ever meet.” She exuded class and elegance and loved her family deeply. She could never say no to a sweet chocolaty treat, even if it meant baking a chocolate meringue pie in the late evening hours.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Don King. From that union she was blessed with Vickie Ann.

She then met and married her “Sunshine” Bobby Hill in 1959. They shared almost 60 years of memories until his death June 10, 2019. They had two daughters, Sharon Kay and Bobbie Lou. They were blessed with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and brother David Wallender. She is survived by daughters Vickie (Wesley Wilson), Sharon (Monty Monson), and Bobbie Lou (Michael Puckett); grandchildren Emilie (Billy Jerome), Tricia (Bobby Prescott), Lindy (Brandon Wright), Lisa (Kris Jackson), and Nicolo Monson; great-grandchildren Madison Jerome, Savannah, Rylee, and Ryker Prescott, Calie Wright and Ava Jackson.

A public visitation for Patricia will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Dr, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 4635 Oakwood Dr, Odessa, Texas 79761. A burial will occur Friday, May 19, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Crane County Cemetery, Crane, TX.
