Jean was born on January 15, 1931 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Jack and Willie Greenhaw where she grew up and went on to marry the love of her life Burlon Edward “Pete” Glover on June 7, 1946. The couple settled in Odessa, Texas where they raised their six children; Rickey, Barbara “Sissy”, Jimmy, Billy, Rusty and Max.
Jean was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked many years for the Ector County Adult Community Supervision Department before retiring in 1996.
Jean was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her family and always looked forward to family gatherings. Any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.
Jean enjoyed music, reading, crossword puzzles and travel. She was known for her quick wit and good sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jean is survived by son Rickey and wife Mary Gail of Brownwood Texas, son Jimmy and wife Sharon of Odessa, Texas, and son Billy and wife Donna of Odessa, Texas, along with 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Jean is preceded in death by her beloved husband Burlon Edward “Pete” Glover, sons Rusty and Max Glover and daughter Barbara “Sissy” Glover.
The Glover family extends their sincere appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Jean by the medical staff at Madison Medical Resort in Odessa, Texas.
Family and friends will gather at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 N. Alleghaney Ave., Odessa, Texas on Wednesday, January 30th for visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 31st at 11:00 am at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Glover Family plot located at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E. Business 20, Odessa, Texas.
