Israel (Izzy) M. Rodriguez, 62, of Odessa, TX was taken to meet our Lord in Heaven on Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was surrounded by his loving family. Israel was born June 6, 1956 to Valentin and Enedina Rodriguez. Viewing will be on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Odessa Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ector Co. Cemetery.
Izzy loved God, family, golf and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Izzy was a hard-working man and never took life for granted. He had a big heart and was a loyal friend to all that crossed his path. He was loved by everyone; family and friends.
Israel was preceded in death by his father, Valentin; brother, Jesse and nephew Gabriel. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Laura; daughters Melissa (fiancée Joe Alex) and Rebecca (husband Steven) and four grandchildren: Brison, Brody, Jaxon and Camila, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
