Gracie Ella Lee, 89 years of Odessa, Texas passed peacefully at home into the arms of her Savior February 7, 2023 with her loving husband and four children at her side. Gracie was born and raised in Dickens, Texas April 14th 1933.
Gracie was baptized at the age of 12 years into Croton Church of Christ. She had fond memories of going to church in a horse drawn trailer with her momma and papa and her 10 siblings.
Gracie graduated from Patton Springs High School in 1950.
Gracie met Charles Lee at a birthday party and on April 27th, went on their first date. After a short courtship of 36 days, they were married June 2, 1950. Upon Mom’s passing they were married 72 years, 8 months, and 5 days.
Charles and Gracie welcomed 4 children into their union, Kenneth, Elaine, Carla, and Vicki.
Gracie was a shining example of a Christian wife and mother. Gracie put God first, then Dad and us kids. Mom was instrumental in taking us kids to church faithfully and was a wonderful role model to all that knew her.
Gracie is survived by her husband Charles Lee, their 4 children, son Kenneth and wife Deb of Granbury, Texas, Daughter Elaine and husband David Johnston of Odessa, Texas, Daughter Carla Francis and husband Gary of Breckinridge, Texas, Daughter Vicki Shelton and husband Rodney of Eastland, Texas.
Gracie is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren with a 7th due in July.
A visitation for Gracie will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 N Alleghaney Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A chapel service will occur Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Adams, Brad Shelton, Brent Shelton, Jeremy Francis, Nathan Clements, Andy Lewis and John Cagle.
