Emma Sue Aguilar

Emma was born in Sanderson, Texas on February 10, 1955 to the late Silvestre and Rita Silvas. She graduated from Sanderson High School and attended American Commercial College and Odessa College. She married Mario Aguilar on August 31, 1996; they were married for 18 years.

She worked in the accounting department of Warren Equipment for many years. She enjoyed painting, jewelry making and other crafting activities. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Emma is survived by her sisters Rosa Elia Olvera and Clelia Carrillo (Valente); nieces Michelle Galindo (Steven) and Clarisa Escamilla (Ramiro) ; nephews Adrian Olvera (Janeth) and Erik Carrillo; and 7 grandnieces and grandnephews.

Emma is preceded in death by her husband, Mario Aguilar; parents, Rita and Silvestre Silvas; and, brother, Silvestre P. Silvas.

A service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at noon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
