Donald R. Stephenson

Donald R. Stephenson, age 62, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, in Odessa.

He was born February 21, 1951, to Ira Bart and Francis Louise (Harrison) Stephenson in Hale Center, TX. He was a great family man and was enthusiastic about life. He enjoyed working on hot rods and loved history. He loved Jesus, and he was at peace.

He graduated from Pecos High School, attended Wayland Baptist University, and worked most of his life in oilfield-related businesses.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bart Stephenson and one brother, Ronald Stephenson.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie Stephenson of Odessa; his mother, Louise Stephenson of Odessa; daughters, Miranda Owens and husband, Matt of Forney, TX; and Jessica Dayton and husband, Doug of Lubbock, TX; sister, Patricia Outcalt of Maysville, GA; and three grandchildren, Caeden Owens, and Xoe and Josiah Dayton.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2013, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
