Betty Carol Hill

Carol was born on April 3, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant Texas. She was an educator with ECISD for 32 years. Carol taught at the Teen Parent Center (TPC). She enjoyed teaching her students daily and one of her main beliefs was that not all education comes from textbooks. Carol enjoyed gathering for meals with family and friends. Carol loved life, as well as all the people with whom she shared it. Carol was a member of 6th and Jackson Church of Christ. She would often show her love for God by singing any one of her favorite gospel songs anywhere or anytime.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lester Garrett Sr., her mother Ollie Mae Purcell, her brother Thomas Lester Garrett Jr., and her sister Etoil Jackson. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert Gordon Hill, her son James Michael (Mike) Harvey and wife Lori, and daughter Tambra L. Miliman, and by her grandchildren, Tara Fowler and husband Kenneth, Tim LeMoine and wife Stephanie, Rebecca (Becky) Reese and husband Robert and Jamie White and husband Joseph, Chris Crouse and wife Melissa. Carol also had 14 great-grandchildren, Joseph White Jr., Jocelyn White, Jannie White, Jasmine White, Jacob White, Elijah Fowler, Taylin Fowler, Steven Fowler, Aubree LeMoine, Caleb Faurie, Grayson Faurie, Rhielle Reese and Rhaynen Reese, Christopher Crouse.

A chapel service for Betty will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at 6th and Jackson Church, 301 E 6th Street, Odessa, Texas 79761. A final resting place will occur at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Argo, Texas.
