Betty Lou Calley

Betty Lou Calley went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 3rd, 2011 where she was reunited with the love of her life, Harold.

Betty was born March 18th, 1934 in Brady, TX, McCulloch County to Frank and Ruth (Smith) Crawford. She was the second born and the only child in the family born in the hospital. She attended school in Rochelle, TX. At the age of 17, she met Harold and they married in Mason, TX on November 22, 1951. She remarked shortly before her death that all she ever wanted to do was to be a housewife, mother and grandmother. She was always a caring and loving caretaker of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold in February 2011, and one son, James Franklin, who died shortly after birth.

Betty is survived by her son Kenneth Calley and wife Mary Ellen of Odessa and son Robert Calley of La Mirada, CA. She also has four grandsons, Clinton Calley and wife Regina of Odessa, James Calley of Whittier, CA, Mark Calley of Austin, TX and John Calley and wife Dorothy of La Habra, CA. She has one granddaughter, Jessica Calley, of Arlington, TX and three great grandchildren, Sayuri and Cooper Calley of Odessa and Lillian Calley of La Habra, CA. Brothers Frank Crawford and wife Wanda of Lovington, NM, Jim Crawford and wife Jeannie of Grandfalls, TX and Dan Crawford and wife Kay of Port Huron, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation with the family at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral HHHhhhhome on Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 at Sherwood Church of Christ in Odessa with Lynn Money officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 9th, 2011 at Resthaven Cemetery in Brady, TX with Steve Calley officiating.
