Tony Adame died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at his home in Oceanside, Calif. He was born Antonio Duarte Adame on February 22, 1937 in San Diego, Calif.
Tony lived in Oceanside all of his life, and worked as a Mason Tender for over 35 years. He was a strong leader in the community and a proud member of Local 89.
Tony was also proud to be part of the Oceanside High School Booster Club, and ran the Pirate Snack Bar for many years. He was a President if the Oceanside American Little League Baseball and a proud Manager for the Sieger Brothers team for over 20 years, including one undefeated season.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Ygnacio; his mother, Socorro;brother, Ruben; and sister, Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Dorothy; son, Tony Adame, Jr; sons and daughters-in-law, Nacho and Kelly Adame, Matt and Suzette Adame and Lena Adame; sister, Delia Ortiz; and sister and brother-in-law, Ernie and Jesus Martinez; and seven grandchildren, Rylee, Nacho, Jr., Jenna, Neenah, Jaysenia, Destiny, and Nayeli Adame.
