Rosita Salazar Barron Angeles, 83, of Fallbrook California, was called home to heaven Monday April 29, 2024. Memorial services and burial will be on May 20, 2024, at 11:30am at Eternal Hills Memorial and Crematory in Oceanside California.
Rosita was born on February 11, 1941 in La Reforma, Texas to Roberto and Juanita Salazar. At 17, she married Gilberto Davila Barron of Hargill, Texas in June 1958. Clubbing and dancing, as they did back in the day, were their distractions from the rigors of their work days.
By the time Gilberto and Rosita moved to California in 1966 seeking greater opportunities on the west coast, their oldest son Ruben and a set of twin girls Delma and Dolores, were already 5 and 3 years old respectively. In 1967, their youngest children, another set of twins, Rebecca and Gilbert Jr, were born at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California.
Gilberto and Rosita lived in Vista, Bonsall, Rainbow Valley, and Oceanside from 1966 to 1977. In 1978, they bought their second home in Fallbrook, California. After Gilberto’s passing in 1980, Rosita sold their home and bought a trailer home at Hacienda Family Park in Fallbrook California. Rosita worked for Olive Hill Greenhouses Nursery for 37 years. Her penchant for plants and prolific green thumb endeared her to Olive Hill Greenhouse Nursery owners Tony and Sue Godfrey.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ruben and Danna Barron of Spring Valley, Daughter and Son-in-law Dolores and Jerry Yepiz of Fallbrook, daughter Delma Barron, Daughter and Son-in-law Rebecca and Eric Rhyne of Mesa, Arizona, and Son and Daughter-in-law Gilbert and Georgia Barron of Bull Head City, Arizona.
