Rosalia Gallaron Ayala, affectionately known as 'Sally', passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024. Born on August 29, 1939, in the Philippines, Sally was the beloved daughter of Rosario Kempis De Paz and Demetrio Raagas Gallaron. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Demetrio Gallaron.
Sally is survived by her cherished sister, Nenita De Paz Bautista, and brother, Rufo De Paz. She is also survived by her devoted children, Julius Gallaron Ayala (married to Bettina Lee Ayala) and May Ayala Fernandez (married to Rommel Fernandez), and her four beloved grandchildren: Mycah Ayala-Brittain (married to Christopher Brittain), Koston Ayala, Keira Fernandez, and Brendan Fernandez.
Sally's life journey took her from the Philippines to the United States, where she settled in Boron, California. She shared over 20 years of marriage with Virgilio Yokota Ayala, raising their two children with love and dedication. Sally devoted over three decades of her career to US Borax, where she retired with distinction.
In her youth, Sally was an active member of the Lion's Club and reveled in the joy of Filipino American Association events, especially those with the Dulag Circle, where her presence on the dance floor was always welcomed. She was a woman of deep faith, a devout Catholic who found solace and strength in her beliefs. Sally's passion for gardening manifested in her beautiful roses, tended to with care at her Boron home.
Above all, Sally will be remembered as a pillar of her family—a wonderful mother and a devoted Lola who never missed an opportunity to support and celebrate her grandchildren's milestones. Her legacy of faith, grace, and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at Eternal Hills on July 18th, followed by interment at Eternal Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pacifica Hospice House in memory of Rosalia Gallaron Ayala. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
