Ron, grew up in Newburgh, NY. Graduating High School from Newburgh Free Academy where he excelled in Basketball and Track.
As a young boy, Ron demonstrated a capacity for leadership, compassion, and service.
That capacity for service led Ron to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, where he served over 20 years, achieving the rank of Gunny (Gunnery Sergeant for the less enlightened). When Ron came home to Newburgh from basic training, he said “when I leave, I’m going to my true home, The Corps”. Ron was a Marine’s Marine. Ron was a Vietnam Veteran serving two (2) tours.
Ron’s compassion, thirst for the truth and a strong desire “to pay it forward” led him join the Masons. Paying it forward is what Ron did, whether he was mentoring the young, talking with family or just conversing, Ron was about truth, commitment and family.
Ron was preceded in death by, Sisters Jane E. (Daniel) Burnett, Rosemarie (Daniel) Stewart; brothers, James H. Daniel Jr, and Lynwood A. Daniel;
Ron, is survived by Son - Ronald B. Daniel, (Sabrina); Daughters- Sheila Rene Daniel, and Kimberly Thompson (Eric); Brothers John McKinley Daniel, (Evangeline) Honolulu Hawaii and Robert D. Daniel, (Minnie) Las Vegas, NV; Uncle John (Uncle Mo) Griffin; (Rochester NY); Grandsons Michael Daniel, Caleb Daniel, Bradley Daniel (Hairston); Nephew Jeffrey Daniel (Lorisa), Detroit Michigan, Demont Daniel (Las Vegas); Bishop Devon Daniel (Juanita) a host of Nieces; Great Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Great Nephews and Nieces.
A viewing for Ronald will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eternal Hills Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California 92054. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 1:00 PM, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California 92054. A burial will occur at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California 92054.
