Osmana was born and raised in Ecuador until her family moved to Chicago in 1971. Osmana was the oldest of 4 kids (brothers Rick, Fabrezio and sister Olga), and was a huge help with her siblings while her Mother, Olga, worked 2 jobs to support the family. In 1977, Osmana decided to leave the cold, move to San Diego with her lifelong friend Lisa and earn a very successful banking career. Eventually she found a higher priority with her loving family and raising her children.
Osmana approached life with uncurbed enthusiasm. Always thoughtful, inspiring and positive. She found great happiness and pleasure in doing all the little things that would make everything special for her family, children, friends, schools and community.
Osmana was a loving wife and mother; leaving behind a wonderful husband of 25 years, Eugene Nagata and 2 tremendous sons, Kurt and Jared, of whom she was extremely proud. She battled non-small cell lung cancer for almost 2 years, with the same determination she had throughout her life. Additional strength came from her brother Rick, Sister Olga, Nephew Jacob, brother Fabrezio, Sister-in-laws Janice and Terri, Brother-in-laws Mark, Brian, and Ace Nagata, along with so many other special loved ones. The family is truly thankful for everyone who have been helpful, kind and supportive during this challenging time.
Osmana had a smile that would brighten any room or cheer you up when it’s most needed. She loved life, good wine, playing Mahjong, Zumba and helping anyone without a second thought. She touched so many lives with her optimistic, caring and devoted spirit. She will be greatly missed!
