He was preceded in death by his father, Andres Ortiz, mother, Mercedes Chavez, wife, Cuca Oceguera Ortiz, son, Jose Ortiz, son Gabriel Ortiz, and friends.
He is survived by son Jorge Ortiz, daughter, Mercedes Ortiz, son, Andres Ortiz, son, Benjamin Ortiz, son, Enrique Ortiz, son, Jose Ortiz, daughter, Enriqueta Calderon, daughter, Elena Linares, son, Manuel Oritz, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 4-8 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Eternal Hills Memorial Chapel in Oceanside, California.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Carlsbad, California.
Mr. Jose Ortiz Chavez final resting place will be Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, California.
