Annette Bolton lived in Smithsville, North Carolina where she graduated from high school. She met her first husband Mack Braxton in Maryland. After Mack Braxton's sudden passing she developed a bond with a soldier named Clifford Bolton who she would go on to spend the rest of her life with! Annette and Clifford Bolton married in Portsmith, Virgina in 1962.
Annette has lived in the Carlsbad/Oceanside/Vista communities for over 50 years where she attended Shiloh Church of God in Christ and thereafter joined Faith Temple Christian Center now known as RISE Church. Annette served as one of the mother figures of the church's and mentor younger women who she always had time for. She was a faithful, committed, servant to the ministry of Christ, committed to her Pastor, and she was honored by the congregation in which she fellowship and served. She was most certainly loved by all and a friend to all. Annette loved sewing, fishing, cooking, she was fashionable, caring, and a fighter. She is going to be missed by us all!
Annette was preceded in death by her father David Hines, mother Louise Hines, husband Clifford Bolton, and grandaughter Sydney Bolton.
Annette is survived by her son Norman Braxton, daughters: Regina Bolton and Angela Harris, Grandchildren: Anthony Bolton, Christopher Bolton, Channel Evans, Symone Bolton, Charneka Harris, and Carlos Bernard Jr., Great-grandchildren: Isaiah Bolton, Terrance Harris, Brielynn Bolton, Triton Evans, Anaia Bolton, and a host of friends that are just like family. The Bolton family is so well known in Athens, Georgia that Bolton Street was named in their honor.
We wish to acknowledge with gratefulness each act of kindness and every expression of sympathy shown during our difficult time of bereavement.
