Susan Epstein, 93, of Interlaken, was born on October 17th, 1923 in New York City and passed away on October 12th, 2017.
Susan first came to the Asbury Park area in 1948 with her late husband, Irving. They first lived in Asbury Park, and later moved to Interlaken. She was a member of Congregation Sons of Israel. Very active in the community, she belonged to several sisterhoods. She was president of the Shore Area Chapter of Hadassah for 18 years. Susan was a graduate of Seward Park High School and Monmouth College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She was predeceased by her husband, Irving J. Epstein, who died in 1983. She leaves behind her 3 children: Marilyn Hyman and her husband Barry, Dr. Paul Epstein and his wife Nancy and David Epstein; 4 grandchildren: Jonathan Hyman and his wife Kate, Bonnie Epstein, Caroline Epstein, and Jennifer Hyman; and a great granddaughter Anaya Green.
Funeral services are being arranged by Bloomfield-Cooper, Ocean.
