Minnie I. Jones

Minnie Ida Jones, age 86, of Ocala, died Sunday September 4, 2011 at the Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 29, 1925 in Santos, FL a daughter to the late Joshua Alvin Lucius and the late Bessie Abshier Lucius. She was also preceded in death by her husband Edward L. Jones, Sr. and a son Edward L. Jones, Jr. She was retired from Munroe Regional Medical Center and the family remembers her enjoying knitting and working cross word puzzles. She was of the Baptist faith.. Survivors include two sons Richard (Leona) G. Jones of Ocala, FL, John Dias of Ocala, FL, Janice Jones of Geneva, AL, two daughters Jennifer (Ricky) Hudson of Samson, AL, Kathy (Paul)Shively of Ocala, Fl, a daughter-in-law Janice Jones of Geneva AL, twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation has been scheduled for Thursday September 8, 2011 from 2:00pm-3:00pm with the funeral to follow at 3:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, the Rev. Michael Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family suggests donation to the Lions Club in lieu of flowers.
