Mavis M. Anderson, 99 of Ocala FL went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec 20, 2014. Mavis was born in Jamaica and was a retired Nurse’s aide and moved to the Ocala area in 1984 from New York. Mavis was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and was very generous , thought of others before herself, enjoyed studying her Bible with her friends, She loved the word, her other passions were gardening, sewing and cooking. She is survived by her son Denis Anderson of Jamaica, daughter Annette Walcott of Tampa, FL, and granddaughter Danielle. The family will be having a gathering at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 55 Palm Road, Ocala on Saturday Jan 17th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the funeral services starting at 11:00 AM all are welcome to attend and celebrate with the family. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Gentiva Hospice in memory of Mavis.
