Maria Zenaida Yepes, age 87, of Ocala, FL, died Sunday June 2, 2024, at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital
Mass of Christian Burial will be at a later date. Burial will be in at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ocala, FL.
Maria Zenaida Yepes was born January 8, 1937, in Fresno, Tolima Colombia, to Pedronel Cuartas and Maria Aurora Garcia. She married Cesar Yepes on November 26, 1957, at, Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepcion, Carolina del Principe, Antioquia Colombia. She worked as a seamstress at various locations in New York City and Ocala. She was also a homemaker and took care of her mother all of her life. She was a member of Blessed Trinity.
She is survived by her sons and daughter; Edwin Yepes (Diane M. Hill), Madison, AL; George Yepes, Jacksonville, FL; John Yepes, Ocala, FL; Patti Daugherty (Jimmy F. Daugherty), Belleview, FL; Cesar Yepes, (Wendy Yepes) Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Travis Yepes, Telluride, CO; Robin Yepes, Saint Johns, FL; Jodie Savilonis (Will Savilonis), Saint Johns, FL; Seth Yepes (Ashley Yepes), Millington, TN, Rachel Yepes, Tampa, FL; Emma Yepes, Tampa, FL; great-grandson, Granger Yepes, Millington, TN; great-granddaughter Edie Savilonis, Saint Johns, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Cesar.
