Helen P. Reed, age 83, of Ocala passed away April 8, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 21, 1930 in Frederick, MD a daughter to the late Delmas and Evelyn Pauline (Fitze) Rice. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Leon Kenneth Reed, Sr, her son Leon Kenneth Reed, Jr., and her puppy dogs, Buttons and Dinky. She belonged to the United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading her Nook, solving puzzles and watching soaps and game shows. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son Joseph and Jane Reed of Taneytown, MD, three daughters Pamela and Robert Sharrer of Ocala, FL, Melissa Reed of Ocala,FL, Adele and Scott Anahory of Ocala, FL, a sister Ruth Dorricott of Melrose, FL, daughter-in-law Elaine Reed of Alexandria, VA, seven grandchildren, Robert Shawn Sharrer, Lee Travis and Beverly Jenkins Sharrer, Cassandra Lynn and Scott Bush, Natasha Rochelle and Scott Osvalds, Amy M. and Heath Pestow, Drew W. Williar, Nicole E. Williar and twelve great grandchildren, Brendan Bush, Ashleigh Bush, Jacob Bush, William Bush, Kendall Peacock, Kyle Peacock, Joseph Osvalds, Jayden Williar, Stella Pestow, Vera Pestow, Griffin Pestow, Robert Lee Sharrer II, and puppydog Angel A Memorial Service has been scheduled for Wednesday April 23, 2014 at 11:00am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. The family suggests donations to Hospice of Marion County in lieu of flowers.
