He was born to Edward and Geraldine Shuman. Ed worked at Bi-County Community Hospital (Warren, MI) for over 48 years where he met his wife, Angela, of nearly 50 years. They raised two daughters, Nichole and Amanda.
Ed is best known for playing Santa for family, friends at the hospital, and his local parish for many years. He was known for always telling jokes and funny stories, his infectious smile, a love of baseball (Go Tigers), and always helping those around him. He was passionate about music, westerns, and science-fiction novels and movies.
He is survived by his wife, Angela, their daughter Nichole, son-in-law Ryan, daughter Amanda, brother Joe, sister-in-law Susan, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward, his mother, Geraldine, and his sisters, Sandra, MaryAnn, Cookie, and Debra.
