A public viewing for Clarence Coutee Jr. will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. at C.P. Bannon, Funeral service will occur Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery Dixon, Ca., Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
Clarence was the youngest of six children born to Clarence Coutee Sr. and Eva Coutee in Natchitoches, Louisiana, all whom has preceded him in passing.
Clarence was baptized in the Catholic Faith at an early age where he remained devoted and faithful at the Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Oakland, CA.
He graduated from Central High in Louisiana after which he enlisted in the Army and served his country in Vietnam from 1965-1967, and continued to serve with the USAR Standby Reserve Control Group through 1971.
Clarence married Betty Knox in 1968 and to this union he had 4 children, Derwin,Anonna, Eisha and Gebrina.
Clarence love his work in construction and plumbing where he became a member of local 304.
In 1987 he met Bonnie Simmons and married her in 1990, where they remained in Oakland,CA. Traveling,
attending concerts, sports events, family gatherings, cook-outs special events, especially attending Oakland Raiders games was his joy.
Survived by his wife, Bonnie Coutee, children, grandchildren, godchildren, and a host of in-laws, nieces, cousins and friends. (Kookie), Uncle June will truly be missed.
