Scott Svehla

Scott Patrick Svehla, age 63 of LaGrange, IL, passed away on March 12th, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Scott is the beloved husband to Linda (nee Resech) Svehla; loving step-father to Patrick (Aly) Raddatz, Scott (Katie) Raddatz, and Michelle Raddatz, devoted son to the late James J. and Patricia (nee Schoeler) Svehla; fond son-in-law to Jean and the late Raymond Resech; cherished brother to the late James (Denise) Svehla; Susan (Bob) Buckles, and the late Sandra (Michael) McClain; loving grandfather to Delilah and Crew Raddatz and Madelynn Slonek; dearest uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Scott's heart overflowed with love for his grandchildren, Delilah and Crew Raddatz, and Madelynn Slonek, bringing him immeasurable joy. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will endure through generations.

In his professional life, Scott dedicated over 15 years to Walgreens before embarking on an entrepreneurial journey, founding Scott’s Brewery Collectibles in 1994, a testament to his passion for sports and brewery memorabilia. Though his store locations are now closed, his love for collectibles continued to shine through in trade shows and other endeavors. He found joy in traveling the world with his wife Linda, exploring new horizons, and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Scott that will be held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 from 4 - 8 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 East Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 10 AM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home.
