Thomas J. Gibson

Thomas J. Gibson, age 89, passed away on Saturday, February 24th, 2024. Husband of the late Nancy Gibson (nee Andrews); Brother of the late John "Jack" (Margaret) Gibson, the late Charles (Lois) Gibson, and the late Harry (Beulah) Gibson; Cherished uncle of Cheryl Welsch, the late Charlie Gibson, Lori Gibson Kopanski, Thomas Gibson, Patrick Gibson, Jeanette Long, John Gibson, Sharon Williams, the late Linda Bell, Kathy Gibson, and the late Cynthia Shakis. Thomas was a proud great, great-great, and great-great-great uncle to many nieces and nephews; a dear friend of Cathy Paulson, and a doting dog uncle of Cupcake.

Thomas worked as a supervisor of Jewel foods for 35+years, and was also a member of the Screen Actors Guild for 25 years. Thomas played roles in Return to Me, Road to Perdition, Soul Food and the series Chicago Fire to just name a few.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Thomas that will be held on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453. A chapel funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 29th, 2024 beginning at 10:30am at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
