Basilio worked for Flinkote Roofing Co. until they closed down. Basilio worked as a plasma burner for Castle Metals in Franklin Park until his retirement. He is preceded in death by His parents Basilio R Galaviz Sr. and Manuela Galaviz, Sisters Catalina Rocco,Pauline Ramirez, and his brother Jesus Galaviz Sr. First wife Rosa M. Galaviz (nee Florez) Grandson's Gabriel Alexander and Angel Leon Great Granddaughter Graciella Reyes

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26th, 2023 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Leak & Sons funeral Home, 3501 Lincoln Hwy, Matteson, Illinois 60443. Funeral service Monday, November 27th, 2023 visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. at First Apostolic Church, 22709 State Street, Steger, Illinois 60411. Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 19500 South Cottage Grove Avenue, Glenwood, Illinois.
