Margaret Lockhart

Margaret Gallagher Lockhart Passed away peacefully on July 15, 2011 at the age of 72. "Peggy" was born in Boston MA and was a long time Marin County resident. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewayne, sister Patricia Bogue, and brother Michael Gallagher. She is survived by her daughters Julia Ritter (companion Tim) and Jean-Ann Balassi (Steve) and sister Kathleen DePatta (Paul). She was devoted to her grandchildren Connor and Ian McGillis, William and Siena Balassi. Peggy graduated from Sir Francis Drake High school in 1957. She was a graduate of the John Robert Powers School of Modeling. She worked for Fairchild Semi-Conductor in San Rafael. Later she obtained her real estate license and worked for the agency her father founded, Gallagher Sturiale. She loved waitressing at Charlie Bolton's and Raffelo's where she met a number of her life-long friends. Peggy, also known as the "Pegster", volunteered in all of her grandchildren's classrooms and spoiled them rotten. Peggy treasured her many close friends. Her passion for life and sense of humor will provide wonderful memories for all who loved her. A rosary/memorial service will be held on Friday July 22, 2011 at Keaton's Redwood Chapel of Marin in Novato from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Marin YMCA 1500 Los Gamos Drive, San Rafael, CA 94903.
