On February 3, 2020, Vilma Naomi Armandt went home to be with the Lord. She joined her husband who died 16 years earlier. They both had deep faith in Christ as their Lord and Savior and they will be forever in His presence.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula, and her husband Bill Isett, son Neal, a retired pastor in Boston and his wife Barb, and her youngest daughter, Ellen and her husband, James Wolfe, along with 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Vilma lived a full life. When in High school she studied vocal music at the Peabody Institute and sang in their choir. After the birth of her children, she used her singing talents in the Perry Hall Baptist Church choir where she sang for over 50 years.
Vilma also loved to cook and entertain. The children remember a roast in the oven every week after Sunday church. She hosted family parties, birthday parties and choir parties. She enjoyed entertaining and traveling. She and her husband went to France, Hawaii and lots of trips to Bermuda.
She grew up in Rosedale, Maryland and after her marriage in 1947, lived in Overlea for almost 50 years. God blessed her with a positive and non-judgmental attitude which endeared her to the spouses of her children and her grandchildren.
