On June 21, 2018 Richard W. Ader peacefully passed away at his home. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Maranto and the late Geraldine Anna Ader. He was the devoted father of Gerard, David, Kenneth, and Karen, and their spouses Suzanne, Susan, Joanie, and Thomas. He had six grandchildren, Daniel, Jason, Bethany, Shannon, T.J., and Amy and their spouses and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by six step-children with Catherine Maranto. He was the dear brother of the late Leo Ader and Mary Morgan.
He was in the Naval Reserve and had a long successful career at NSA as a manager pioneering the computer information systems. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family, and especially enjoyed singing and acting with the Bykota Senior Group. He was an avid Baltimore Colt fan, and was a long standing member of the St. Agnes Men’s Choir, and the St. Agnes Council of the Knights of Columbus.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection. Interment private.
