On October 12, 2024, Margaret Holewinski (nee Yahner), passed very peacefully at Brightview Assisted Living in Perry Hall. Born in Reading, PA, on July 31, 1937; Margaret Yahner Holewinski, was the loving daughter of James and Margaret Yahner. She was the sister of Robert and Johanna, all of whom are deceased. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Charles W. Holewinski.
Margaret earned her undergraduate degrees in Economics from Marywood College in Scranton PA, and her MEd in Business from Penn State. Living in Bel Air, she taught Typing and Business at Edgewood High School her entire career, and served as Department Chair until she retired.
Her favorite hobbies and interests were contract bridge, gardening, sewing, crafts, news of the Royals of England. She loved family and friends, visiting places on the Bay with Charles aboard Champagne, taking cruises to the Islands, and seeing Europe, especially London, their place in Florida, often visiting Disney, and the Grand Floridian, kept them busy. Margaret's collection of bears kept her going even after Charles's passing.
Though Margaret's immediate family has passed, she is survived by her caring cousins, friends, and her caring staff at Brightview Assisted Living in Perry Hall and Senior Helpers Caregivers.
Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham MD 21236, on, Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, from 10-11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Dundalk MD.
