Joan Dorothy Cassidy (nee Pietruszka), age 94, of Baltimore, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by her caring family. She lived a long, happy life and was fortunate to celebrate her 94th birthday with her close family.
Joan was a devoted wife to the late John Frederick Cassidy Sr. and loving mother to John and Chrissy Cassidy, and Joanie and Michael Dohler. She was an adoring grandmother to Evan and Kimberly Dohler, Sarah Dohler, and Jake Cassidy. Joan was an amazing caretaker of her five siblings after her mother passed away when she was merely a teenager. She is survived by her brother Tommy Pietruszka and sister-in-law, Joanne Pietruszka. Her other siblings that have passed away before her are Eddie, Danny, Teddy Pietruszka, Diane Vigliato, and Anita Lynch. She will be missed by her best friend, Marilyn Phelps, from Glen Meadows Retirement Community.
Joan was an active member of the American Legion Post 22 in Towson, MD. She was an avid Bingo lover and was a part of the Red Hat Club for many years. Joan never met a sweet treat she didn’t like.
Joan will be missed by so many people who loved and cared about her.
Her immediate family will be honoring her wonderful life in a private ceremony.
