Dave and I grew up together as kids an lived about 5 houses away from each other. He and I did everything together when we were growing up such as attending the same school, playing football in the street, going to the movies, playing outside and numerous other activities throughout our childhood. His dad one day had to come up to my house to get me out of a closet that I had lock myself into. I remember everything like it was yesterday and even remember when he started dating Joy and attending their wedding.  All of these great memories will never be forgotten and I am so sorry for his family's loss. This is just so sad that a person like Dave was taken from this Earth so sudden and it is so hard to imagine. My prayers go out to his family and children in the hope that they are given the strength to get through this loss.

We are sorry for your loss.  Although we have lost touch over the years, we think of the Appaloosa family frequently.  "Soup" as everyone called him was always such a helpful and friendly guy.  Our hearts go out to his family that you may find peace in the memories you have to heal your hearts.  Sending hugs and prayers all around.  

I only met Dave one time, however I found him to be a very nice guy, extremely generous and fun loving.

I remember he treated me to beignets from a trip to New Orleans.

Always remember Dave as a very friendly person. Enjoyed his company, as well as his family at Crescent Yacht Club. Did a stand up year as Commodore there. Always a great Dad to his boys. Very much enjoyed his friendship, and my time knowing him and his family. There is a reason why He takes the good ones too early. We don't necessarily understand His work, but I am sure Dave is looking down on us and looking out for his family. Joy, you and your children have been blessed. I know it's hard to fathom at this point. Please know you have many out here who are praying for you and wishing you well. My sympathies to you all. Am here if needed for anything. Stay blessed, be well... Godspeed Dave... 

Dave will forever be remembered fondly by all.  He was a friend to many.  His commitment to Joy and the boys was seen by all.  

We will always remember all of Crescent's openings where Dave was always there.  Also that July 4th in Ocean City where we had a picnic on the beach and we all went to the fireworks.  

Dave will be missed!

Dave always had a smile and welcome hug.  My husband and I met Dave and Joy years ago as we were going up the line at Bodkin Yacht Club.  We watched their sons grow into young men.  Dave and Joy visited Bodkin and we attended many events at Crescent Yacht Club and Chesapeake Commodores Club over the years.  We will miss Dave's friendly manner and warm smile.

Will and I send you as much love and prayers as possible.  May wonderful loving memories of Dave soon bring a smile to your heart.  Dave was a special soul that will live on through all of you and all of us whose lives were touched by him.

I have so many terrific memories of Dave from high school! We had such a great group of friends, and Dave and Joy found love together, forever! I will hold those memories in my heart forever, and I will miss Dave! All my love and condolences to Joy and the boys! 💔 If there is anything at all I can do, please let me know! 

So sorry to hear about Dave. I worked with him at AAI Corp.  Dave was a good person and hard working. He also was  at my Dad's  service when he passed. My Dad belonged to the Crescent Yacht Club and they do a great service for their members.  I couldn't thank him enough for doing that.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.    

It’s not often that people get to know their brother-in-law as also a friend. Dave, aka “Soup”, and I spent quality time together working with Apaloosa and bonded in a way that not to many people can appreciate. That unwritten bond kept us close throughout the years. I, and my family, are devastated for Joy and the boys. Please pray for them and stay in touch. Peace.

Dave and I worked on several projects at AAI/ Textron systems over  the past 3 decades. Dave was always a kind and considerate person to all who knew him. May god look over his family and bless them with only happy memories of his life.

Mr. Dave was a good neighbor and a good friend.  He coached my sons, and we coached together.  I will remember his impact upon his own sons, my sons, and the community as a whole.  Please watch over us now, Mr. Dave.  I know you are at peace.  

David was my cousin. Unfortunately we did not keep in touch like we should have, but I am heartbroken to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to Joy, Michael, and Patrick. I am very sorry for your loss. Please know I am here if you need anything. 

My favorite memory is playing Star Wars when we were little.
