Albert "Wes" Saunders

On July 26, 2015, Albert “Wes” Saunders, age 88, beloved husband of Marie M. Saunders (nee Kammer); devoted father of Christine Spangler and her husband Chris, and the late Mark Wesley Saunders.Wes joined his creator and left all pain and suffering behind. He is survived by six grandchildren: Joshua, Lucas, Tyson, Rhett, Derek and Katie and ten great-grandchildren. Wes was a WWII Navy Veteran. He mastered an apprenticeship at Maryland Drydock as a machinist and built a career in management at the Baltimore Proctor and Gamble Plant for 37 years. He was an avid boatsman and lover of the Chesapeake Bay. Wes’ best gift in life was his 66 year marriage to his precious sweetheart, Marie, which brought much joy to them and all who knew them.

Relatives and friends may call at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Tuesday July 28th from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11am at Divinity Lutheran Church 1220 Providence Rd., Baltimore, MD 21286. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
