Mary Patricia Jenkins

Mary Patricia Jenkins, 81 years old, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Norwood, passed away on October 20, 2023. Mary was the beloved daughter of Frederick and Marguerite (Andrews) Candora.

Mary loved her Boston sports teams. She was vocal in her support as well. Playing cards at family gatherings, especially SkipBo, was always one of Mary’s favorite activities and always led to her talking trash. Summer Sundays were spent having family over to enjoy the pool and cook on the grill. Later on, Mary had a fondness for crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She also was an avid reader.

Mary is survived by her son Charles Jr, his wife Christina and granddaughter Summer Jenkins of Foxboro, her daughter Melissa of Raleigh, brother James Candora of Raleigh, niece Christine and her husband Chris Hickey, niece Cheryl Candora, nephew Joseph Candora and his wife Megan and their sons Kent and Luke, and nephew Chris Candora, all of Raleigh, niece Gina and her husband Matt Valvo and their children Julianna and Austin, and nephew Kevin Candora and his wife Gail of Rhode Island, and nephew Matt Candora of Taunton. Mary was the beloved widow of her late husband Charles Jenkins Sr, and older sister to the late Fred Candora and Joseph Candora.

Visiting Hours for Mary will be held in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Highland Cemetery, 320 Winter Street, Norwood, on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00am
