Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Ryan

Age 92 of Norwood, Sunday March 12, 2023.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Elizabeth M. (O’Neil) Ryan. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Walter Ryan, and the devoted mother of Kathleen and her husband Dr. Richard Ostberg of Salem, formerly of Shrewsbury, Barbara Flynn of Norwood and her former husband Timothy Flynn, and Mark P. Ryan and his wife Janet of Falmouth, formerly of Norwood. She was the sister of Richard Ryan of Falmouth, Barbara Flaherty of Arlington and her late husband Vincent, Elaine and her husband Kevin Peabody of Venice FL, formerly of Shrewsbury, and the late Robert Ryan and his wife Margaret, and is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the proud grandmother of TimothyFlynn and his wife Tara, Kevin Flynn and his former wife Leah, Danielle Flynn and her partner Chris Papadopoulos, Derek Ostberg and his wife Jennifer, Kathryn and Joseph Ryan, and great-grandmother of Michael, Emily, Claire, Donovan, Connor, Gavin, Colby, and Camden.

Funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD, Monday, March 20, at 10:30AM. Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington St., Norwood at 11:00. Visiting hours Monday 9-10:30 AM only. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
