Margaret "Peggy" J. Barnicle

Beloved wife of the late John G. Barnicle. Loving mother of Joan Carr and her husband Richard of Wells, Maine, John Barnicle and his wife Catherine of Norwood, and James Barnicle and his wife Nina of Plainfield, NH. Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey and Brendan Carr, Kate Barnicle, Megan Moloney, Jaime Nason, Sean Barnicle, Alix Barnicle and Erin Levant. Great-grandmother of Corrina, Ronin and Conall Carr, Emma and Madison Barnicle, Brianna and Abby Nason, Kaylee and Cora Moloney and Lydia Levant. Adored sister of the late Virginia Leonard. Dear sister-in-law of the late Clare Lantagne, Ann Luley and James Barnicle. Peggy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As a devout Catholic, Peggy was a faithful communicant and member of Sodality of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She worked over 25 years in the insurance industry as an insurance adjuster at O.A. Johnson and Company in Canton. Peggy enjoyed travelling, but her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21 at 10:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Interment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm in the funeral home.
