Robert Duane Thomas, Jr., 62, of Earlville, passed away on March 22, 2025. He was born in Norwich to Robert D. and Laura (Brown) Thomas. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Kristin Thomas; his children, Chloe Thomas, Cayla Thomas, Claire Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Brandon Thomas, and Ashley Harrington; his grandchildren, Emily Harrington, Rileigh Harrington, and Lakota Johnson; his father, Robert Thomas, Sr.; his brother, William Thomas; his sisters, Barbie Gillette, Becky Tredway, Shelly Hitt, Robin Thomas, and Jolene Thomas; as well as his best friends, Ward Monroe, and Jack Harrington.
Robert lived his life in service to his family and friends, always ready to give of his time and efforts whenever he was needed. He served his community as a volunteer firefighter for 22 years with the Preston and Norwich fire departments. He was not a man to complain but was grateful for all that life afforded him. Robert was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR, especially Dale Jr. as well as a collector of anything blue.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be announced in the spring.
