Raymond D. Edick

Raymond David Edick, 95, of Oxford, passed away at the New York State Veteran’s Home on December 25, 2023 following a brief illness. Ray was born in Amblerville, NY on May 5, 1928 to the late Raymond C. and Amanda P. (VanLoan) Edick. He was also predeceased by his wife, Lillian Edick; and his brothers and sisters. He leaves behind his son, Charles and Barbara Lynne Edick; his daughters, Terry and Michael Mastrorocco; and RaeAnn Edick; his grandchildren, Mark, Kris, Jeff, Kacie, and Diana; his great-grandchildren, Madison, Maris, Maisyn, Tyler, Zoey, Emilie, Alex, Shane, and Lilyana.

Ray served his country proudly in the US Marine Corps, receiving an honorable discharge in 1953. He was a good, hard working man who loved spending time at the family’s camp in McDonough as well as his many fishing trips to the Adirondacks with the boys. He will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know him.

Ray’s family wished to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of the New York State Veteran’s Home for the excellent care he received there. At Ray’s request, there will be no formal funeral services. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family.
