Patricia J Laden

Patty was born on February 29, 1964 to Nancy and William Laden. Patty was a lifelong resident of Norwich and attended Norwich High School. She later went on to obtain her Certified Nurses Aide License from DCMO BOCES. Patty had a profound love for animals, especially Chows, she enjoyed crafting and various types of music. Patty’s love extended to her daughter, Hannah Laden, who made up the entirety of her world. She was undoubtedly a phenomenol mother to Hannah and devoted the last 20 years of her life to raising her. They were inseparable and best friends. Patty will be remembered for her nurturing character. She had a heart of gold and was a loving sister, aunt and friend.

In addition to her daughter, Patty is survived by her sisters, Joanne Prosser (Richard Cummings), and Sherri (Dale) Mudge; her brothers, William Laden, and Frank Laden; her nieces, Tanya Turner (Michael Gray), Renay Barrows, Lee Anne Laden, Ashley Mudge (Jason Grover) and Jamie (Jason) Reeves; her nephews, Michael Stephens (Kristy Taylor), and Geno Murphy (Alyssa Huzinec); as well as many grand- nieces and nephews. Patty was predeceased by her parents, Nancy and William Laden; her brother, Richard Laden; and her sister, Jeannette Murphy.

Patty’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Wilson Hospital and all of the caretakers that supported and helped her and Hannah.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place for Patty at 11:00 am on Monday, March 4, 2024, at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 81 E. Main St. Norwich with Fr. Ralph Bove officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Paul’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich on Saturday, March 2, from 2:00-4:00 pm.
