Jim was born in Philadelphia P.A. On July 29,1949 to the late Valery and Mary ( Spychalske)
Mitros.
Jim was a hard worker who spent his younger years working at Whitehall Laboratories in
Hamilton N.J. Before moving to upstate New York. After working various factories jobs Jim
settled in at Chobani where he worked for 9 years before his retirement in 2020.
Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, being on his boat and watching wrestling on tv. Most of all he
enjoyed spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his wife MaryJane Mitros, daughters Jamie, Christina (Aric) Copeland and
Jennifer ( Dave) Smith. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joseph Sposito, Owen, Peyton
and Tegan Copeland and Micheal and Bradley Smith.
He is predeceased by his sister Theresa Curran, Brothers Eugene, Anthony, Steven, Bob and
Mike Mitros, son in law Dominick Sposito and step daughter Carol Ricciuti.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
