Alex was a very kindhearted person. Alex was always there for anyone that needed an open ear to talk to or a shoulder to cry on. No matter how much weight was on his shoulders, everyone could always count on him. He had a heart full of gold and anyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with Alex was touched by him in one way or another. Another great thing about Alex was his passion for work. Rain or shine, he was devoted to work until he could not do it any longer. He was not only an employee, but a wonderful leader who took the time to learn about and encourage each and every coworker. Alex also served his country in the Marines deploying for two tours in Iraq. When Alex wasn’t working, his passions were cooking, spending time with family, camping and the outdoors as well as watching sports and going to church.
Alex was survived by his grandparents, Jose Lopéz, and Mary and Chuck Lockwood; his father, Chuck Lockwood Jr., his mother, June Slater; his wife, Tangerine Lockwood; his daughter, Mikayla Figueroa, and his son, Alexander Cruz; his sisters, Autumn Lockwood, and Shi-Anna Marris; his nephews, Robert Ross, Braxton Whittaker, and Jaxson Gay; and his niece, Oakleigh Marris. There are many other family members and friends who are left behind to mourn his passing.
